Working together to bring services to their peers.

See what Danvers' youth are up to... DHSYLB Red Ribbon Video

Check out DHS Youth Leadership Board members in action! The DHSYLB wrote, shot, edited and premiered this video all within 48 hours. The goal of the project was to share a positive message, and facts about underage drinking with their peers as part of Red Ribbon week.

Our Community, Our View

DanversCARES had the amazing opportunity to work with youth at Maple Street Church this past spring. During this project we challenged the youth to take a hard look their community and think about the positives, the negatives, and what they would like to see change. In addition to having them identify the issues we had the opportunity to help them find their voice, and take the steps to bring awareness and make change. This video is simply an exercise, but the power of the experience gives our youth the knowledge that they have a voice, and are a huge part of our community.

Reflections & Collaborations: Young Artists Speak Out

DanversCARES is happy to have had the opportunity to work with the Danvers High School Transition program and Special Education department on this project. This video is a culmination of 5 months worth of artwork created by the students. We are deeply grateful for the opportunity to work with the youth and staff, and be able to share art as an alternative outlet to drinking or drug use.

What you are watching is just a taste of what is to come. Stay tuned for the story behind the art, and the process of making this happen.
